Impact of our business model

In Europe, over 25 million SMEs (micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises with up to 250 employees and a turnover of €50 million) collectively release greenhouse gases equivalent to approximately 2,250 million tons of CO2 into the atmosphere each year. By implementing the recommendations generated by our platform, each client can reduce their emissions, reducing their environmental impact. These actions can also enhance the company's economic value through greater efficiency and attractiveness, while simultaneously generating a positive social impact. Each SME assessed by the Ecomate platform, by applying the recommendations generated by the ESG rating (over 150 KPIs across the E, S, and G pillars), can reduce an average of 18 tCO₂e per year and generate an estimated net socio-economic value of €30,000 per year—including lower employee turnover, access to ESG-linked public tenders, energy savings, reduced insurance and financial premiums, and increased commercial attractiveness.

Our commitment to sustainability

The Ecomate team has decided to personally commit to reducing emissions, favouring the use of cloud storage systems and spaces, in particular by relying on the Google suite, a company that has achieved the goal of carbon neutrality. Think about the fact that a user emits on average 135 kg CO2 eq. to work emails per year, and that with attachments they can represent up to 90% of the emissions of an email. For this reason, we have reduced the exchange of attachments to the bare minimum, using cloud links and significantly reducing our environmental impact.

We have chosen to locate our offices in a coworking space, allowing the optimization of spaces and equipment, in a building that has obtained the LEED Platinum certification. Smart working is always encouraged when work activities allow it, and alternative transportation facilities are used for commuting instead of private cars.
